So, it’s been awhile, but I would like to invite you to join the members of JUSTICE and the participants of the trip to the Ignatian Family Teach-In in a month in attending a screening of the award-winning film Dead Man Walking, featuring Sean Penn and Susan Sarandon.  Dead Man Walking features a portrayal of Sister Helen Prejean, the keynote speaker at the Teach-In this year, whose life and work we will be discussing before the film.There will be snacks! Grab some friends and head to the Campus Ministry Conference Room (in the student center, up the ramp next to the bookstore, on your right, directly across from the Campus Ministry main office) this Tuesday (10/19) at 9:30pm!!!

Sr. Prejean at IFTJ2010!

Many of you will be (or at least should be) excited to hear that Sister Helen Prejean, CSJ (of “Dead Man Walking” fame) will be attending this year’s Ignatian Family Teach-in for Justice in Washington D.C.  As you already know, JUSTICE will be sponsoring and leading a trip to this event which takes place this upcoming November 13th-15th.  What is sure to be an exciting and informative trip has just gotten even more exciting with this announcement.  Stay tuned in the coming months for information on how to get involved; we look forward to joining you for this!
